About the Team

The Alameda 12U Girls team is designed for athletes in 5th and 6th grade who are ready to take the next step in their lacrosse journey. This level introduces more structured team play and prepares players for full-field competition, while still keeping the experience fun and accessible. The team competes in the East Bay Lacrosse League (EBLL) with weekday practices and weekend games throughout the season.

Coaching Philosophy

At 12U, we focus on building confident athletes through strong fundamentals, teamwork, and positive coaching. Our staff emphasizes player development over wins and encourages players to take initiative, support one another, and grow through challenges. We aim to create a space where girls feel empowered — both on the field and beyond.

Player Experience

Players at the 12U level will:

  • Develop advanced stick skills, shooting, and passing on the move
  • Learn offensive and defensive concepts, including cutting, marking, and clearing
  • Play full-field games with increasing tactical awareness
  • Grow as teammates through communication, leadership, and shared goals
  • Be challenged to push their game while having fun and building friendships

We aim to develop well-rounded athletes who compete with heart and integrity.
